Varanasi. On the one hand, the government announces new services every day for better service for air travelers. On the other hand, companies are shutting them down every day by making excuse of less passengers. Now those traveling by direct air from Varanasi to Jaipur and Dehradun are going to get a setback from today. It is to be known that direct flight service from Lal Bahadur Shastri Airport Babatpur in Varanasi to Dehradun and Jaipur was being operated by Spijet for a long time. While for Dehradun six days a week, for Jaipur, the facility of direct flight service was available for all seven days. Now this service has been discontinued. Due to which the problem of air traveler going to both these places has increased. SpiceJet has announced to stop direct flight service to Jaipur and Dehradun from Sunday i.e. 30 October.
It is worth noting that earlier SpiceJet had also stopped the direct flight service from Gorakhpur, whereas now the direct flight service from Varanasi to Dehradun and Jaipur has been stopped.
With the closure of direct flight service, passengers will now have to travel from Varanasi to Delhi to reach Jaipur and Dehradun. Due to this, while the passengers will have to spend more money on the one hand, it will also take more time as the journey of the passengers is longer.
Although on the one hand, the government announces flights from many districts of the country every day, but citing less passengers, these companies stop the operation of these flights. Earlier, SpiceJet banned the flight in CM Yogi’s area Gorakhpur, now a similar incident is being seen from Varanasi, the parliamentary constituency of PM Modi. Earlier, the number of planes from the airport used to increase for the winter season, but this time according to sources, there is no such movement as of now.
Although 40-42 planes are being operated daily from Varanasi airport till now, due to which 7-8 thousand passengers are being transported daily, but now the number of passengers will be reduced due to the closure of flights at both these places.
